Fashion X Film: Almost Famous

The Beatles once said, “Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes.” Indeed, Cameron Crowe’s 2000 film, Almost Famous, has made Penny Lane (Kate Hudson) into a fashion icon. Whether a Led Zeppelin song comes on the radio or a shaggy fur is passed by in a window, Penny Lane is everywhere, leaving her mark as the iconic groupie from the fictional Band-Aids. Her style is a sweet melody of rock n’roll meets bohemian princess. It’s effortless, it’s 70s, and it’s easy to recreate for the modern day girl.   Peasant Shirt Cord Mini Skirt Wool Blend Coat  Clog Sandal Peasant Blouse  Flare Jeans  Fringe Booties  Bucket Bag  Round Sunnies  Peasant Top Velvet Shorts Floral Bootie  Led Zeppelin Patch  I hope you enjoy these Penny Lane inspired looks. If you haven’t already watched Almost Famous, I recommend it! Stay groovy, Nicole Advertisements

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the iconic Tarantino film, Pulp Fiction. The movie is famous for its crime, action, suspense, and most all, for Mia Wallace’s sultry looks. This outfit is inspired from the Jack Rabbit Slim’s dance scene where Mia and Vincent Vega do the twist. For this look, grab a tunic-length button down and high-waisted, wide leg black pants. Peek a black lace bralette for an extra special occasion, and toss on a oxblood red scarf. Fashion X Film: Jean Luc Godard’s “À bout de souffle”

One of my favorite films is Godard’s 1960 classic, À bout de souffle, or Breathless in English. The film is set in the beautiful city of Paris, and is about a budding journalism student, Patricia, and her criminal, on-the-run boyfriend, Michel. The pair are put to the test as they experience some crazy adventures, and end up running away from the police. Somehow Patricia looks fab the whole time! The movie is iconic not only for its amazing cinematography, but also for its stellar costume design. The outfits worn by Patricia, who is played by Jean Seberg, are sleek and minimalist with tons of Parisian flair. Though the film was set in the summery months of Paris, there is no reason you can’t incorporate her designs into your winter wardrobe. Here are some modern outfit inspirations that will help you look and feel effortless and chic!     For this look start with clean line tailored black pants and a Brenton stripe inspired top. Add some heeled Chelsea boots and a small bucket bag to complete …
