In Review: Finesse Hair Care

*This post is sponsored by BrandBacker and Finesse but all opinions are my own. Scale ranking 1 to 10 (ten being the best)*  Hello lovelies! During the chilly winter months, the ends of my hair are drier than the Sahara desert and my phone on a Saturday combined. Thankfully BrandBacker and Finesse were kind enough to send me samples of Restore + Strengthen Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, a fave of Kendall Jenner. I had never heard of Finesse before, but figured it was like any other drugstore hair products – ones that get the job done. TBH, I wasn’t expecting that much. Below is the picture of my “after” hair – this was after one wash with the Finesse products. Excuse the dog filter, woof. Scent- 4/10  The scent isn’t the best, but it’s not harsh either. It’s kind of like a musky floral and smells a bit old. But it does get masked once you spray other products in your hair! Blow drying after wash – 9/10  Before blow drying my hair, I put SunIn lightening …

In Review: Glossier Phase 1 Set

Glossier is the new “it” girl of skincare and beauty. With it’s minimal yet adorable packaging and simple product line, I immediately fell in love with my Phase 1 Set that I won through Glossier’s Summer Giveaway. I saved the products until I started school in September, and use them here and there so they last because I’m in love it! Here’s my review of the line.  When I first opened the box, I was extremely impressed with the packaging. I am a package nerd, but I love when brands, like Glossier, take the time to cater to their clients aesthetic needs. The cardboard box itself gave a little pep talk, and inside was a crisp white box featuring a glossy “G” on it. As I took the box out, I felt like I was opening my eyes to a new beauty world. As I opened the box, I discovered a clear ziploc baggie with pink bubblegum-colored wrap inside. Within the walls of this girly cuteness I found full-sized Glossier products including a rosewater mist, face …

In Review: Benefit “They’re Real” Mascara

Ok, I must admit, I am one of those girls who really isn’t a makeup guru. I’ll switch up drugstore brands here and there, but rarely do I venture into Sephora to buy products. I’ve always been very simple with makeup and still to this day am trying to perfect the cat-eye look (amen if you can master it). Recently, I’ve ventured into the unknown beauty world, and started using Benefit “They’re Real” mascara. I don’t know why I didn’t try it sooner because it is so worth it! The brush is just phenomenal and features a normal looking part of the brush with a little brush attached to the ends. This allows for less clumps and more va-va-voom action for your lashes. It separates your lashes and makes them appear more even. The formula did not make my eyes itchy, which I have found with some store-brought brands since I am a contact wearer. It lasted throughout the day and did not smudge onto my lower lids. Just use two coats of this baby and you’re good …

In Review: Mario Badescu Skincare

“Love the skin you’re in” is a line I’ve heard over and over again yet it’s hard to love it when breakouts arise. My skin has always been stubborn, sensitive, and uncooperative. For years, I’ve searched far and wide for miracle products that would leave me looking flawless but sadly, I found no magic formula. As I got older, my skin improved a bit, but with school stresses it still wasn’t as healthy as I wanted it to look. A couple weeks ago, I went with my mom to Nordstrom in the hunt for a skincare line her friend kept talking about. We found it and ended up buying Mario Badescu’s toners and drying lotion. Yes, I still had some hope that it would work! That night I followed the instructions the makeup counter lady told me, and did so for the next few days. “First the green toner, then the yellow, and apply the lotion.”   Let me tell you the results have been wonderful so far! My pores have tightened and my face is …
