Weekly Wrap Up: Vegetarian Living and Philly

Hey there! I know I haven’t posted much on The City and Thrift lately but that’s because I was busy finishing up the semester and transitioning into summer. Now that school is over, I have a bit more time to focus on writing, reading, and relaxing. Currently, I am transitioning into a vegan/ vegetarian lifestyle! This past year, I’ve had many stomach issues including the lining of my stomach becoming inflamed. I experienced the worst stomach pains of my life and had no clear explanation as to why it was happening. I would bloat easily and experience horrendous stomaches after meals. With much thought, I started becoming more aware of what I was putting into my body. I stopped eating super fatty foods, as well as dairy, both of which can heavily affect your stomach if your body cannot digest it. I am not going to lie, going vegetarian and vegan in a world of carnivores is a difficult feat. However, that didn’t discourage me and it shouldn’t discourage you if you feel like this lifestyle is …
